If your species has a future clap your hands

Well, well, well. It looks like the Hemingway cats are safe from the USDA's requirement that a special license be sought as part of their "exhibition" at the Hemingway House in Key West. (You can sometimes spot the cats on the live cam...but mostly you'll just see tourists, and they're not nearly as interesting and cute)

And scientists found a nicely preserved specimen of a roughly 10,000 year old frozen mammoth in Siberia, and want to try to clone it, or make some weird, mutant-hybrid Mamophant. Wait. Didn't they recently make a bad B-grade made-for-tv horror movie based on this exact scenario? (the tag-line is "We hunted it into extinction...Now it's hunting us" -- dramatic underscore!) The Geico caveman thinks you should thaw that baby out and throw it on the grill.
