I'm exhausted. I want to whine about it, but Ryan over at the CDP posted a positive affirmation for today, and to gripe in the face of such a sentiment would be shameful. So I won't. I'll just sit here and yawn and be mad at myself for signing up for training that I don't need and now don't want to attend. And today is our (slightly disgruntled and cranky) temp's last day. We don't have anyone waiting in the wings to take her place, either. Ces't la vie...
I'm eating cookies for breakfast because the vending machines aren't stocked.
Got a note home yesterday from my son's teacher. It seems he's mastered the Kindergarten word list, aced the First Grade list, and we're now being asked to assist him with the Second Grade list. Which he already knows more than half of. Of course, we're talking about a state public school system that has just officially recognized evolution as part of the curriculum (amongst great public and media controversy). It's not called evolution, though - it's "biological change over time". I guess I'll be supplementing my son's education in the sciences for as long as we live here.
For those who watched Lost last night - did you fall for that little red herring they threw in there?

Everyone needs a little positivity once in awhile. Gay as it is.
I enjoyed last night's LOST swerve very much.
It's been forever since you visited my little slice of the blog o'sphere (or whatever they're calling it these days).
Positivity is not my strong point, so I'll leave it to people who are less inclined to channel Eeyore as their token spirit animal.
I was thrown for a loop for a second about the whole Sawyer pregnancy thing last night, and then decided it had to be a trick. So it seems that my tipsters here at work were right when they dropped broad hints to me about Aaron being the "he" mentioned by Kate last season (they've read spoilers). Now I want to know how all of this transpired. I think Claire is still on-island, or else I don't think Charlie's "ghost" would have appeared to Hurley with the message of "They need you".
Good thoughts, I agree. I think Jack's just freaked out about the whole thing because Aaron's his nephew.
ahem.
OFF the island, things are good yes?
starta damned lost blog, but leave one for just you!!! ahhhhhhhh.
cookies for breakfast are an automatic positive. your kid is amazing, and he'll be really intelligent. and tall.
I don't talk about Lost on this blog that often. There's nothing much to tell that I didn't lay out in my e-mail, anyway.
Yes. The kid will be whip-smart and tall. So he'll have one up on me, at least.
