Who doesn't like something for nothing?

National retailers will be giving away $175-million in cosmetics for a week, starting Jan. 20th, as part of a class action settlement as a result of a suit alledging price fixing on beauty products that was filed on behalf of consumers five years ago. Shoppers will be able to get one free item per person on a first come, first served basis while supplies last from several national retail stores. The available products will include body lotions, shower gels, night creams and mascara from brand names like Estée Lauder, Clinique, Lancome, Chanel and Christian Dior at Macy’s, Dillard’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus and Target stores across the nation.

To get the free goods, consumers must sign a registry saying they made a cosmetics purchase between 1994 to 2003. No other proof of purchase is required.

For more information, as well as a more comprehensive list of items that will be part of the give away, see the official website.
