Whole lotta NADA
HR just sent out an email announcing that they have a job opening for an "HR Consultant". First of all, one of the preferred qualifications is a Masters degree (WTF people!?), and second of all, the posted ad didn't include any narrative regarding WHAT this position does. I tried to tell the person in charge of posting these vacancy announcements that it's an incredibly vague ad, but it totally went over her head - she kept repeating that they were trying to get people to go to the hiring website...which is where this craptastic thing is posted. Hopefully, with a Masters degree, whoever they hire can hopefully correctly advertise vacant positions. And not just spend inordinant amounts of time planning cookouts and fussing over flyers for bullshit events that have no bearing on managing our "Human Resources" while freaking out over every minor little issue that comes up. Jesus tapdancing christ this department is utterly useless.

hahahaha. nice pic to end the post with.
I doubt that your wish will come true however. you see most people getting masters aren't necessarily trained in the work place kind of people (as you have observed). the reason for that is that they spend some much DAMN time in class!! I understand it all now. by the time I get my masters, I too, will be useless in the workforce. oh happy day!
But you'll have a Masters, and all the earning potential that it implies. Now, that earning "potential" turning into earning *actual*...dunno. :/
Still. The issue remains: HR is retarded.
Ok. Agreed. lol.
