SO MUCH WHARGARRRBBBLLL IN THE HOUSE!! I've just watched *endless hours* of grandstanding. This. Changes. Nothing. Please stop invoking the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the civil rights struggle and dredging up the bloated ghost of Ted Kennedy. I have less faith in the system of government that's supposed to serve the will of the people than I ever have, after seeing how self-serving and partisan almost EVERY SINGLE member of the House of Representatives is, regardless of party affiliation, after these many hours of televised posturing and fear-mongering. And they haven't even gotten to the damn *vote* yet!
As an aside, Jesse Jackson, Jr. is a total badass, and I hope to see good things of him in his political career.

He was acting speaker at one point during Sunday evening's proceedings. He wasn't about to take anybody's crap - it was awesome.
