The forecast calls for "bad craziness"

What's new this week? Well, there's some weirdness going down work-front wise. That's for sure. Someone's on track to be out of a job. I'm a little confused how the decision to get rid of their position came about, but my loyalties feel a little divided right now. On the one hand, I do understand the logic of how the person in that job before did double what this current one does, and if they're never in the office, what exactly are they doing. I get that. Totally. But on the other hand, the motivation behind it is a little self-serving, and the managers don't have the slightest clue what they're getting themselves into. Par for the course, eh? This isn't the only shady deal on the table, either. There are knowing looks and closed-door meetings all over the place. I thought this new boss would put an end to most of that. Look how wrong I was.

We had dinner with the Millers this week, and I head out to M's house in a couple of hours. I didn't get a single thing done today. Unproductive, yes, but it felt nice. The weather is beautiful right now. We have plans to go to the pumpkin festival tomorrow with my mom and my sister, so I hope it will stay like this through next week, at least for Halloween night.
