She's so well preserved...like a mummy in the Sahara

A lady who just came in looking for someone who doesn't even work here had skin like a fine crocodile handbag, all tanned to a leathery and creased consistency. I don't know how old she was, but simply judging by the look of her epidermis she was childhood friends with Moses on the Nile delta. That, dear children, is the reason we use sunscreen! That and not wanting skin cancer.
This weather is too nice to be sitting here wasting my life. I hear the sweet siren call of the sand and surf. It's a good thing I already had planned on going to the beach on Friday - otherwise I might be tempted to do something rash, like, say...call off while none of the bosses are here.
I was thinking about taking a class this summer, but I'll probably wait until the fall. Maybe. I'm just no motivated to do it if I'm only doing it as non-degree seeking. Yes - I know that working towards the degree would help me make more money. I'm just not sure if spending the time and money is what's right for me in my life right now. If ever. I'm terribly conflicted about the whole thing, and the recent classification change at my job basically made it so that the only way to advance is for me to have a Bachelor's degree. Which would take me eight to ten years to get if I worked on it a little at a time. So that's just great. Does hard work mean nothing to these people?

Mental sidebar: "God, woman. Don't stand in the doorway to my office having a rather loud verbal tennis match with IT. You're ruining my reverie. Get outtttt!!"

it will not take that long. 4 classes every semester puts you at under 5 years. thats an investment. if you get the degree and don't get promoted, hey! you can get another job, and the recent diploma will be what companies are looking for. they want recent grads anyway. and being a bit older than most recent grads, you have the advantage of maturity and the know-how.

try not to be too conflicted, st. pete offers some awesome night classes during spring and fall.

Well, I'm going for non-degree seeking first, to test the waters. Then I may take classes at the other "college" for an associates (they offer TONS of correspondance courses) and use any credits accumulated here towards a BA down the line. It's still going to take me longer, and cost more, than I'd like.
